(SANTA CLARA/CUBA/ February 16th/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- The Cuban independent journalist Guillermo Fariñas Hernández, In hunger strike, hospitalized at the hospital Docente Quirúrgico Arnaldo Milián Castro of Santa Clara, was transferred to a different wing of the hospital this past Monday, at three o'clock in the afternoon and his relatives are not aware of the reasons for the transfer.

The independent journalist is presently in bed number 9 of the Maxillofacial wing of the above mentioned hospital. He is conscious,oriented and firm in his fast. He is not eating or drinking anything at all- declared today to the Information Bridge Cuba-Miami, a relative of the journalist who preferred to remain anonymous.

As everyone is well aware, this is Fariñas Hernández' 20th hunger strike.
Just today he was saying that in order to quit a hunger strike one had to be extremely brave, that he was not that brave. That he (Guillermo) was not going to depose his hunger strike because doing so, would be killing his brothers, who are being beaten and arrested with such impunity on the part of the government. He cited the above as one of the reasons he had for making his determination- continued saying the relative.

Today, Guillermo confirmed once again, that this hunger strike is his protest, his fight, that he will continue firm in it and that there is no going back - finished saying the source.

Guillermo Fariñas Hernández, doctor in psychology and general director of Cubanacán Press, presently in parole due to health reasons began a hunger strike without fluids last January 31st, demanding that the Cuban government install free access to the internet in his home.

(SANTA CLARA/CUBA/16 de febrero/Puenteinfocubamiami.org)- El periodista independiente cubano Guillermo Fariñas Hernández quien se encuentra ingresado en el hospital Docente Quirúrgico Arnaldo Milián Castro de Santa Clara, por negarse a deponer su huelga de hambre y de sed, fue trasladado de la sala el pasado lunes a las tres de la tarde, donde sus familiares desconocen las razones del traslado.

El periodista independiente se encuentra en la cama número
9 de la sala maxilo facial del hospital arriba mencionado y está conciente, orientado y firme en su ayuno sólido y líquido, donde no está ingiriendo ningún tipo de alimentos ni de líquidos - declaró hoy al Puente Informativo
Cuba- Miami un familiar del periodista independiente que prefirió mantenerse en el anonimato.

Como todos saben, ésta es la huelga número 20 de Fariñas Hernández y él incluso hoy estaba diciendo de que se necesitaba más valor para abandonar una huelga y que él ese valor no lo tenía. Que no la iba a dejar porque ahí estaba matando a sus hermanos que estaban siendo golpeados, que los estaban metiendo presos y que el gobierno estaba quedando impune cada vez que suceden estas cosas. Y esa fue una de las razones que lo hizo a él tomar esa determinación – continuó diciendo el familiar.

Hoy, Guillermo volvió a reafirmar que ésta huelga de hambre es su protesta, su lucha y que va a seguir firme en ella y que no va a dar marcha atrás-terminó diciendo la fuente.

Guillermo Fariñas Hernández, licenciado en psicología y director general de Cubanacán Press, actualmente en licencia extra penal por motivos de salud, se declaró en huelga de hambre el pasado 31 de enero, demandando que el gobierno cubano le instale acceso libre a la Internet desde su hogar.
