THREAT OF AN "ACT OF
REPUDIATION" DIRECTED TOWARD THE WIFE OF A
CUBAN DOCTOR WHO IS A PRISONER OF CONSCIENCE
AND THEIR FOUR YOUNG CHLDREN
September 2005
Yamilet Llanes Labrada, wife of prisoner of
conscience, José Luis García Paneque, is
presently very alarmed and worried about her
physical safety and that of her four young
children in their home in Las Tunas.
Upon returning home from visiting her
husband in the Hospital of the Combinado del
Este Prison, neighbors informed Mrs. Llanes
Labrada that her name is on a list along
with three other citizens that the Committee
in Defense of the Revolution (CDF) publicly
designated in mid September as
"counter-revolutionaries" and terrorists
that knock on the doors of homes and,
inadvertently, place firecrackers and bombs.
The CDF told neighbors in Las Tunas to
remove their containers of drinking water
from the entrances to their houses because
these counter-revolutionaries poisoned the
water, and they warned the neighbors not to
let their children go near Mrs. Llanes
Labrada's home because she has the means to
drug children in order to indoctrinate and
use them.
Yamilet is suffering from chronic headaches,
and she urgently denounces the following:
"I AM UNDER A LATENT THREAT OF A POSSIBLE
ACT OF REPUDIATION since one of the
persons pointed out by the CDR has already
suffered an act of repudiation. Organized
pro-government mobs brutally harass and beat
marked citizens by surrounding their homes,
banging on the doors and windows, and
shouting obscenities. The suffering that the
unjust incarceration of their father has
caused my children is not enough. There is
already a traumatic, psychological risk for
them.
María Caridad, (6), José Alejandro,(8),
Shirlen, (10), and Sheila, (14), are in a
constant state of stress that doesn't go
away. My children are not safe in the
streets or in their schools, and even less
in their own home.
Before the United Nations and all
organizations that promote human rights in
the world, I denounce how serious the risk
can be for a child in Cuba."

AMENAZA DE "ACTO DE REPUDIO" A ESPOSA Y
CUATRO HIJOS MENORES DE MÉDICO, PRESO DE
CONCIENCIA, EN CUBA

Yamilet Llanes Labrada, esposa del preso de
conciencia José Luis García Paneque, se
encuentra muy alarmada y preocupada por la
seguridad física de ella y de sus cuatro
hijos menores en su casa en la ciudad de Las
Tunas.
Al regresar de una visita a su esposo al
Hospital de Reclusos del Combinado del Este
en La Habana, vecinos le informaron a la
Sra. Llanes Labrada que su nombre está en
una lista junto a tres ciudadanos que los
Comités de Defensa de la Revolución (CDR) de
Las Tunas catalogaban públicamente de
"contrarevolucionarios" y terroristas que
tocan a las puertas de las casas y al menor
descuido ponen bombas y petardos. Los CDR
anunciaron a los vecinos de las Tunas que
retiren los tanques de agua potable de sus
portales de las casas ya que éstos
"contrarevolucionarios" envenenan las aguas
y advirtieron que no permitan que sus hijos
se acerquen a la casa de la Sra. Llanes
Labrada ya que ésta tiene la capacidad de
drogar a los jóvenes para adoctrinarlos y
utilizarlos.
Yamilet está sufriendo unos dolores de
cabeza permanente y denuncia urgentemente lo
siguiente:
"TENGO UNA AMENAZA LATENTE DE UN POSIBLE
ACTO DE REPUDIO. Ya a una de las
personas señaladas por los CDR le hicieron
un acto de repudio. Turbas
pro-gubernamentales organizadas rodean las
casas y acosan brutalmente dándole golpes a
las ventanas, las puertas y hasta a las
personas. Se gritan barbaridades. No ha
bastado con el trauma que se le ha causado
ya a mis cuatro hijos con el injusto
encarcelamiento de su padre. Actualmente hay
un riesgo psicológico, traumático para
ellos. María Caridad de 6 años, José
Alejandro de 8 años, Shirlen de 10 años y
Sheila de 14 años están en un estado de
tensión y no pueden escapar esta realidad.
No tengo seguridad para mis hijos en su
propia casa, no tanto en la calle ni en la
escuela, ya ni en su casa."
Ante las Naciones Unidas y todas las
organizaciones que protegen y promueven los
derechos humanos en el mundo denuncio hasta
donde puede llegar el riesgo que sufre un
niño en Cuba."
